STEP 1 - Preliminary Meeting

The preliminary meeting will be between you, the Customer, and an Artisan Homes representative. The reason is to examine your objectives for your new home and Artisan Homes schedules, systems and plan. Concepts are examined and the initial required actions for your unique build are established. Build timelines and home value objectives are discussed. The design fee is examined and will vary upon the intricacy of your personalized plan design.

STEP 2 - Down Payment and Agreement for Design

An initial monetary installment is required; however, specifics will be talked about face to face at this meeting. The cost will vary upon several factors which we will address at this meeting. A design contract will be presented at this time.

STEP 3 - Finance Meeting

Customer will meet with bank contacts, of their choice, to discuss building concept and project.  The result of this meeting will be to obtain all necessary financial pre-approval documentation.

STEP 4 - Design Draft - Beginning of Your Unique Plan

The Builder will meet with the Customer to review a draft of the home design concept.  This review may happen several times until the point where the you are pleased with the design concept.

STEP 5 - Design Final - Final Changes to Your Design

The Builder will meet with the Customer to review the final home design concept. Any final changes or comments from the Customer will be noted on the design to be included in the final design.

Deliverable: front elevation, floor plan and specifications

STEP 6 - Budget/Home Design Review

The Customer and an Artisan Homes representative will meet to review and discuss any changes to the budget or the home design.

Deliverable: initial project budget

Note: Steps 4 through 6 may be repeated as necessary

STEP 7 - Design Fee Payment

A payment toward the design fee is collected. The amount of this payment will vary based on the design contract.

STEP 8 - Soils Test

Soils test will be ordered to determine foundation design.

STEP 9 - Design - Draft

The Customer and an Artisan Homes representative will meet to review a draft of the design.  Changes and/or comments will be noted for incorporation into the final design.

STEP 10 - Design - Final

The Customer and a representative from Artisan Homes will meet to review the final design.

Deliverable: architectural plans, structural plans, electrical plans, HVAC design, site plan, foundation plan, final specifications

STEP 11 - Budget Review - Final

The Customer and a representative from Artisan Homes will meet to appraise the budget. Changes to the budget and/or design will be discussed and a route forward will be established. The building contract will also be deliberated.

Deliverable: final budget

STEP 12 - Design Fee Payment

A payment toward the design charge will be collected. The amount of this payment will be based on the design contract.

STEP 13 - Contract to Build

The Customer and an Artisan Homes representative will meet and review any budget and/or design changes. The contract will be signed and submitted for the construction loan.

STEP 14 - Construction Loan

All paperwork will be submitted to the bank.
The bank will order an appraisal. Construction loan will be finalized and closed.

STEP 15 - Permit

To obtain the permit, all plans are submitted to the Pueblo Regional Building Department for review and approval.
